The Delaware State Equestrian Program is in its 20th year competing in the NCAA recognized National Collegiate Equestrian Association (a Division 1 sport). Delaware State competes against the best programs in the country including Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M, and Texas Christian University.

Signature victories against huge schools, a legacy of NCEA All Americans, and 1st Team ECAC riders highlight the rigor of program.
The Lady Hornets collected a total of 30 academic honors from the 2025 APHA National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) on the First Team, Second Team, Honorable Mention, and Honor Roll lists.
Most of our fundraising goes to making the Athlete's experience that of a Division 1 athletic program. Some events that we sponsor: Team Wellness, Big/Little Sister Ceremony, Team Tailgate @ football, Halloween Party, Lunches on meet day, and annual awards dinner.
